Gib dein Handymodell ein. Mach danach den 10-Sekunden-Test unten, denn regionale Versionen können sich unterscheiden.
Der 10-Sekunden-Test
Öffne die Telefon-App und tippe *#06#. Siehst du eine Nummer mit der Bezeichnung EID, unterstützt dein Handy eSIM. Du kannst auch unter Einstellungen → Mobilfunk (iPhone) oder Einstellungen → Verbindungen → SIM-Manager (Android) nach „eSIM hinzufügen“ suchen.
Es muss außerdem entsperrt sein
Ein Handy mit Vertrag kann an den Anbieter gebunden sein (SIM-Lock). Lass es vor der Reise entsperren oder prüfe unter Einstellungen → Allgemein → Info → Netzbetreibersperre (iPhone).
iPhones aus Festlandchina und einige iPhone-Modelle aus Hongkong und Macau haben keine eSIM. Manche Samsung- und andere Android-Modelle unterstützen eSIM nur in bestimmten Ländern.
